Chatpat Chana

Ingredients:

  • Boiled chana – 1 cup
  • Sambar/ kuzhambu podi – 1 ½ tblsp (or)
    • Coriander powder – 1 tblsp
    • Chilli powder – ½ tblsp
  • Garam masala – 2 tsp
  • Puli karasal / tamaraind paste – 2 tblsp
  • Jaggery – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as req
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tsp
  • Mild cooking oil – 1 tblsp
  • Water – as req for gravy

Procedure:

Step 1:

In a medium pan add tblsp of mild cooking oil, kuzhambu podi, garam masala, puli karasal, jaggery and boiled chana. Bring it to boil with required amount of salt and water.

Step 2:

Once the oil leaves the sides of the pan. Garnish with some fresh coriander leaves and chaat masala.

Serve hot with a cup of rice or with roti.
