Godhumai Kanji

Wheat porridge (godhumai kanji)

Ingredients

  • wheat flour -1 tblsp
  • Water -1/2 cup
  • Jaggery -1 tsp
  • Ghee -1 tsp

Procedure

  • Take 1 tblsp of wheat flour with a tsp of jaggery dissolved in water, along with a tsp of ghee
  • Stir all these well, without any lumps; then keep it in a low flame for few minutes until it reaches smooth and creamy consistency
  • It is ready to be served now.

Serving suggestion

  • Once your baby is ok to start with solid foods like rice based items, you can start this meal with a little thin consistency
  • You can gradually increases your feeding level and consistency
  • Feed your baby, when the porridge is luke warm
