Ingredients:
- Bread slices – 5-6 nos (whole grain/white/wheat)
- Mozzarella cheese – ¼ cup
- Cheddar mild cheese – ½ cup
- Crushed black peppercorns – 2 tsp
- Crushed garlic – 2 cloves
- Dried rosemary leaves – 1 tsp (optional)
- Dried oregano – 1 tsp
- Salt – a pinch
- Cooking oil – 2-3 tblsp
- Water – 1-2 tsp
Procedure:
- Using a mixer jar/ food processor grind the bread slices into a coarse powder and transfer it into a wide mixing bowl, then add all the ingredients except water and oil; mix well and sprinkle a tsp of water at a time and mix well; if you able to hold a shape in between your fist, then the mixer is ready to make cutlets.
- Take a good amount fist full of cutlet mixer and hold tightly with your fingers; keep the cutlet in between your palms and press it gently to get a flat oval shape and keep it in a plate; Repeat the same process to the rest of the cutlet mixer.
- Heat about 2-3 tblsp of oil in a pan and place the uncooked cutlets gently into the pan, allow it to cook and flip it gently under medium-low flame; once the cutlets are cooked well and outer part become crispy and turned golden brown in color; remove the cutlets from the pan
- The crispy, fluffy and cheesy “CHEESY-BREAD CUTLETS” are ready
- Serve hot with some ketchup or you can have it as it is.
NOTE/TIP:
- These cutlets do not need more oil.
- Always cook under medium-low flame to avoid the cutlets turn quick brown in color.
- You can add even more veggies to this and can add more masalas for more flavors.
