About Besan/Kadalaimavu/Chick pea is naturally a Gluten Free food and it is a good source of rich in protein,iron and fiber.you can have this at any time. Especially for pregnant ladies .im not a great fan of besan ladoo but this one I made for my hubby .he likes this ladoo very much. A very easy and quick recipe you can make this within few mins and store it on a clean air-tight box over the counter for more than a week or so.

Ingredient:

Dry ingredient

  • Besan/Kadalaimavu/Chick pea flour -1cup
  • Cardamom/elaichi powder -a pinch
  • Granulated sugar -1/2 cup
  • Cashews/raisins -10 nos

Wet ingredient

  • Clarified butter/ghee -1/2 cup

Procedure:

Step 1:

In a heavy bottomed vessel dry roast the Besan/Kadalaimavu/Chick pea flour until you get a nice aroma

Step 2:

In a large mixing bowl add the roasted Besan/Kadalaimavu/Chick pea flour ,cardamom/elaichi powder,sugar,roasted cashews/raisins mix it well

Step 3:

Pour the hot melted clarified butter/ghee into the dry ingredient mixture.now mix everything with the help of ladle

Step 4:

When it became warm enough, you can make ladoos out of this.BESAN LADOO is ready to serve.

Gift Ideas on Occassions:

  • place the healthy ladoos over a cupcake paper moulds and pack them with the help of gift wrap and gift it to your loved ones (OR)
  • pack each ladoo into a small and compact Ziploc covers and arrange it into a small and compact paper gift bag (OR)
  • wrap each ladoo into a gift wrap and knot it ,you can gift this as it is or you can add this into your gift bag
