MAA /POTTUKADALAI/ROASTED GRAM LADOO
We use call this ladoo as MAA Ladoo,my mom use to make this healthy ladoo during Deepavali and my hubby’s favorite one.Pottukadalai/Roasted gram is low in calorie and rich in IRON ,it gives you instant stamina and it helps to recover from STOMACH UPSET quickly. every south-indian kitchen counter we can find this roasted gram but we hardly used this for making chutney or as an thickening agent for some curries. but this sweet is very unique, easy and healthy. you must try this interesting recipe and do njoy with your family and friends. don’t underestimate the taste. its super delicious and just melts in your mouth.I’m pretty sure you are going to love this.
Ingredient:
Dry ingredient
- Pottukadalai/roasted gram -1cup
- Cardamom/elaichi powder -a pinch
- Granulated sugar -1/2 cup
- Cashews/raisins -10 nos
Wet ingredient
- Clarified butter/ghee -1/2 cup
Procedure:
Step 1:
In a heavy bottomed vessel dry roast the pottukadalai/roasted gram until you get a nice aroma
Step 2:
Grind it well till it attains the powdered texture, in a large mixing bowl add the roasted pottukadalai/roasted gram flour, cardamom/elaichi powder,sugar,roasted cashews/raisins mix it well
Step 3:
Pour the hot melted clarified butter/ghee into the dry ingredient mixture.now mix everything with the help of ladle
Step 4:
When it became warm enough, you can make ladoos out of this.pottukadalai/roasted gram LADOO is ready to serve.

- place the healthy ladoos over a cupcake paper moulds and pack them with the help of gift wrap and gift it to your loved ones (OR)
