Ingredients:
- Milk powder – ¾ cup
- Condensed milk – 1 ½ cup
- Butter – ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – a generous pinch
- Saffron – few strands
- Warm milk – ¼ cup
Procedure:
- Soak the saffron strands in the warm milk and keep aside
- In a heavy bottomed pan, melt the butter and add the condensed milk. Keep stirring until the condensed milk and butter incorporated well
- Add the milk powder little by little and mix without any lumps.
- Now the consistency should be like a mass dough
- Time to add the saffron soaked warm milk into the mixture and cook it further under low flame for about 5-6 mins
- Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, transfer it into another bowl and allow it cool for minimum of half an hour and starts shaping it.
- garnish it with either dry fruits or nuts.
- Cool completely and keep it in an air tight container
- Enjoy the delicious, milky, tasty “PAAL PEDA”.
