Paal/Milk Peda

Ingredients:

  • Milk powder – ¾ cup
  • Condensed milk – 1 ½ cup
  • Butter – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – a generous pinch
  • Saffron – few strands
  • Warm milk – ¼ cup

Procedure:

  • Soak the saffron strands in the warm milk and keep aside
  • In a heavy bottomed pan, melt the butter and add the condensed milk. Keep stirring until the condensed milk and butter incorporated well
  • Add the milk powder little by little and mix without any lumps.
  • Now the consistency should be like a mass dough
  • Time to add the saffron soaked warm milk into the mixture and cook it further under low flame for about 5-6 mins
  • Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, transfer it into another bowl and allow it cool for minimum of half an hour and starts shaping it.
  • garnish it with either dry fruits or nuts.
  • Cool completely and keep it in an air tight container
  • Enjoy the delicious, milky, tasty “PAAL PEDA”.
