Potato Sausage

Ingredients:

  • Butter – 2 tblsp
  • Chopped onion – ¼ cup
  • Mashed potatoes – ½ cup / 2 medium potatoes
  • Bread crumbs – ¾ cup
  • Crushed garlic – 1 tsp
  • White cheddar cheese – ½ cup
  • Oregano – 1 tsp
  • Freshly ground black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Chopped fresh basil – 1 tsp (optional)
  • Mild cooking oil – ¼ cup

Procedure:

  • Grate some fresh white cheddar cheese and keep aside.
  • Boil 2 medium potatoes and mash it well.
  • Heat some butter in a skillet, add crushed garlic and chopped onion in it and saute a while and keep aside.
  • In a wide mixing bowl, add the sauted onions and garlic, mashed potatoes, bread crumbs,oregano, freshly ground black pepper, chopped basil, salt and mix well
  • Finally add the grated cheese into the mixture and blend it gently.
  • In a pan, heat some cooking oil for shallow frying and start shaping the sausages.
  • Divide the potato mixture into equal portions and roll into sausage shapes.
  • Place one by one gently into the pan and allow it cook for few mins on medium-low flame.
  • Gently flip each sausage and cook evenly. It will take minimum of 3-4 mins.
  • Serve the delicious “Potato Sausage” with some relish or with some ketchup.
