TRADITIONAL SOUTH INDIAN FILTER COFFEE:
Filter coffee the name itself you feel the aroma. My “THE FAVOURITE” drink in the whole universe. I can easily find the difference between INSTANT to grounded FILTER COFFEE. I never drink INSTANT Coffee. Whenever I felt lonely/ depressed/mizzing my mom/my family- FILTER COFFEE is my BOOST. Imagine this situation one good morning –post Pooja rituals with the spiritual aroma from the Dhoop stick along with the immense flavor of our NARASUS – FILTER COFFEE ……mmmmm(besh…besh…romba nanna iruku) – my goddness. The best situation you ever experienced that too especially from your MOM’s hand.
About Filter coffee:
The traditional way of filter coffee is made with a small cup of boiled and frothed milk along with a tblsp of strongly brewed decoction from the grounded coffee powder with a tsp of sugar.
Ingredients
- Freshly grounded filter coffee powder – 3 tblsp

Procedure:
Step 1:
In a small vessel pour the water and bring it to boil
Step 2:
In the Filter Coffee Maker (Coffee Filter) add the grounded filter coffee powder on the top of the maker and pour the super-hot water over the powder
Step 3:
While the decoction is getting ready, boil your required milk and keep it ready
Step 4:
I always use “DAVARA” if you don’t have then use steel tumblers/ cups .add sugar as per your taste and pour about a tblsp of decoction / depends on your flavor and taste and add the hot milk. Mix well with two tumblers/davara set. Amazing, aromatic FILTER COFFEE is ready to serve .
