Whole Wheat Cream Cheese Bread

// Pure Whole Wheat Bread//

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat flour – 2 ¾ cups
  • Cream Cheese – ¼ cup
  • Warm milk – 1 cup
  • Warm water – ¼ cup
  • Granulated sugar – 3 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Yeast – 1 ½ tsp
  • Softened unsalted butter –2 tblsp + ½ tblsp (for butter coating)

Procedure:

  • Preheat the oven to 350˚F
  • Add about 1 ½ tsp of instant yeast into a cup of warm water and milk along with 3 tsp of sugar (ref pic)

  • In a stand mixer bowl, sieve the Whole wheat flour along with salt (ref pic); now add the yeast mixture, cream cheese and butter into the flour (ref pic)

  • Start the mixer at lower speed until all incorporated well
  • Now speed up the mixer for about 8-10 mins until the dough attains the fine elasticity texture without tear apart (ref pic)

  • cover it with a cloth and Allow it to rise double in size approx one hour (ref pic)

  • Degas and shape the dough depends on your bread pan size (ref pic)

  • Cover it with a cloth and allow it to rise double in size approx (30-40 mins-ref pic)

  • Bake the bread for about 30-35 mins

  • Apply the rest of the butter over the hot Bread and cool completely before slicing

NOTES/TIPS:

 

  • Store it in an air tight container; usually breads lifetime is very short; finish it as soon as possible.
