Instant Rava Appam

Ingredients:

  • Upma rava – ½ cup
  • Poha/aval – ¼ cup
  • Curd/yogurt  – ¼ cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – as req
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp

Procedure:

  • Wash and soak the rava and poha with required amount of water for about 10-15 mins(ref pic)

  • Grind the soaked rava, poha along with ¼ cup of beaten curd and required amount of salt (ref pic)

  • Now add ¼ tsp of baking soda and mix well; the batter is ready (ref pic)

  • Heat the dosa pan and pour one ladle full of batter onto the hot pan (ref pic) and cover it with a lid and cook it for about 2-3 mins under medium-low flame; for this appam you don’t need any oil

  • The soft, sponge and tasty “INSTANT RAVA APPAM” is ready to serve
