// godhumai rava Bisibelebath//
Ingredients:
- Cooked Broken Wheat – 1 cup
- Cooked Toor Dhal – ½ cup
- Par boiled Mixed Veggies – 1 cup
- Shallots – 8-10 nos
- Tomato – 1 medium
- Tamarind Puree – 1 tblsp (thick)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Jaggery – 1 tsp
- Salt – as req
- Water – as req
- Coconut oil / mild cooking oil – 1 tblsp
Tempering:
- Cashews – 5-8 nos
- Chopped green bell pepper/ capsicum – ½ cup
- Ghee/ clarified butter – 2 tblsp
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Bisibelebath Paste:
- Kadalaparuppu – 1 tsp
- Urad dhal – 1 tsp
- Vendhayam/ methy – ½ tsp
- Dhaniya/coriander seeds – 3tblsp
- Byadagi chilli – 4-5nos
- Guntur chilli – 3 nos
- Whole garam masala
- Cardamom – 2nos
- Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
- Clove- 3nos
- Grated coconut – ½ cup
- Poppy seeds – 2tsp
- Coconut oil – 1tblsp
Procedure:
- Roast the “BISIBELEBATH Paste” ingredients in a tblsp of coconut oil and grind it finely and keep aside.(as shown in the pic)
- In a kadai add a tsp of ghee/ cooking oil, add the par-boiled veggies saute for a while
- Now add about a tblsp of tamarind juice along with “BISIBELEBATH PASTE” and salt as required. Bring it to boil
- Time to add the boiled toor dhal and cooked broken wheat into the mixture. Mix thoroughly; add some water and a tsp of jaggery. Cook finely for another 5-6 mins.
- Place a kadai, add the rest of the ghee. Now add some cashews, roughly chopped bell pepper/ capsicum and curry leaves saute for a while and pour on the rice mixture. Mix well and enjoy hot with some crispy boondis.
- The tasty, healthy and flavorful “BROKEN WHEAT BISIBELEBATH” is ready.
