Ingredients:
- Plain water – 2 cup
- Holy basil/thulasi – 3-4 nos
- Cardamom – 1 no
- Clove/ lavangam – 2nos
- Nutmeg/ Jathikai – a generous pinch
- Edible camphor/ pachai karporam – a generous pinch
- Saffron – 2-3 strands
Procedure:
- In a pestle mortar, add cardamom, clove, nutmeg and saffron. Grind finely and keep aside.
- In a large silver bpwl, add 2 cups of water. In that, add the grounded ingredients. Add a generous pinch of edible camphor and some fresh holy basil to the theertham.
- Now Theertham is ready to perform the Pooja.
NOTE:
- Don’t ever let the theertham spill in the floor.
- Always use silver vessel to keep the theertham, those who don’t have silver vessel. Then use new and clean vessel.
