Ingredients:
- Rava/ sooji – 1 cup
- Granulated sugar – ½ cup
- Ghee/ clarified butter – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – a generous pinch
- Cashews – 5-6 nos
Procedure:
- In a heavy bottomed pan dry roast the rava in a medium flame until the nice aroma comes out. Cool completely.
- Now grind the roasted rava along with ½ cup of granulated sugar. Grind it into a fine powder. Transfer into a wide mixing bowl.
- In a small pan add ¼ cup of ghee, now roast the finely chopped cashews into the ghee and pour the mixture into the rava bowl.
- Add a generous pinch of cardamom powder to the mixture and mix thoroughly without any lumps (as we are adding the hot ghee mixture, don’t use your hands initially).
- Once the mixture is too warm, make into balls and store it into an air tight container.
NOTE:
- The mixture is too delicate to handle, if you can’t make it into balls sprinkle a tsp of warm milk to the mixture.
- Adding sugar is purely depends on your taste.
