Tomato Fresh Basil Pizza

// with some fresh Mozzarella Cheese //

Ingredients:

Making Pizza Dough

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Warm water – ½ cup
  • Granulated sugar – 1 tblsp
  • Salt – ¾ tsp
  • Yeast – 1 tsp
  • Cold Pressed Extra virgin Olive oil – 2 tblsp

For Topping:

  • Tomato Sauce/ Pizza sauce/ Tomato Ketchup – 2 tblsp
  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese – 1 cup (grated)
  • Fresh Tomato – 1 (large, sliced)
  • Fresh Basil leaves – 5-6 leaves (chopped)
  • Cold Pressed Extra virgin Olive oil – 3 tsp
  • Dried oregano – 1 tsp
  • Freshly crushed black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Salt – 1/8 tsp
  • Grated Parmesan cheese – ¼ cup (optional)

Procedure:

  • Preheat the oven to 450˚F
  • Drizzle some olive oil on the Pizza pan and keep aside
  • In a stand mixer bowl, add sugar and yeast into the warm water and keep it for 5 mins until the yeast gets activate.
  • Later sieve the all-purpose flour along with salt into the milk mixture.
  • Start the mixer at lower speed until all incorporated well
  • Now speed up the mixer for about 8-10 mins until the dough attains the fine elasticity texture without tear apart
  • Cover it with a lid/plastic wrap and keep it under any warm place and allow it to rise for about 40-45 min (ref pic)

  • Degas the dough and divide the dough into two equal parts
  • Take one part of dough at a time and start spreading the dough into the greased pizza pan (ref pic)

  • Add some tomato sauce into the dough and spread it evenly (ref pic)

  • Now add about half a cup of fresh Mozzarella cheese(ref pic) and add the sliced fresh tomato, chopped fresh basil leaves , dried oregano, freshly crushed black pepper and little salt

  • Again top it over with the rest of Fresh mozzarella cheese and parmesan ( PARMIGIANO-REGGIANO) cheese along with some drizzle of cold pressed Extra Virgin OLIVE OIL (ref pic)

  • Bake it for about 18-20 mins

  • The super cheesy, tasty , fresh and Flavorful “TOMATO-Fresh BASIL PIZZA” is ready to serve; Serve hot
