Ingredients:
- All-Purpose flour – 2 ¼ cup
- Granulated Sugar – ½ cup
- Unsalted Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – a pinch
- Orange Zest – 1 tblsp
- Orange Juice – 2 tblsp
Powdered Sugar Glaze:
- Powdered Sugar – 1 cup
- Orange Juice – 2-3 tblsp
- Orange Food Color – few drops
Procedure:
- Pre heat the oven to 300 degree F
- In a wide mixing bowl, beat the unsalted room temperature butter and sugar until they are just combined.
- Now add the sieved flour, salt along with 2 tblsp of orange juice. Mix on low speed until the dough starts to come together.
- Dump the dough onto the floured surface and shape into a flat disk.
- Wrap the dough into the plastic wrap and refrigerate it at least for 30 mins.
- Roll the dough half inch thick and dust the desired shape cookie cutter and press it over the rolled dough and place it gently over ungreased sheet pan.
- Bake it for 20-25 mins and cool completely. Store it in an air tight container for more life.
