Honey-wheat Banana Bread

Dry Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat – 1 ¼ cup
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Chopped Mixed nuts (walnuts/ almonds/pecans) – 1/3 cup

Wet Ingredients:

  • Pure raw honey – ½ cup
  • Mashed banana – 1 ½ cup
  • Ground cinnamon – ½ tsp
  • Canola oil/ coconut oil – 1/3 cup
  • Whole milk – ¼ cup

Greasing:

  • Room temperature butter – 1 tsp
  • Wheat flour – 1 tsp

Procedure:

  • Pre heat the oven to 350Degree F
  • Grease the pan with butter and dust it with some wheat flour (8*4 inch loaf pan) and keep aside
  • In a wide mixing bowl, sieve all the dry ingredients finely except the grounded cinnamon and mixed nuts
  • In a separate bowl add the wet ingredients, now slowly add the sieved dry ingredients into the wet and mix completely without any lumps.
  • Now add the chopped mixed nuts into the batter and mix gently.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and tap it for about 2-3 times, to remove the air bubbles.
  • Finally, sprinkle the grounded cinnamon over the top the bread batter and mix it gently (as shown in the pic)

  • Bake it for about 35- 40 mins or until, insert a toothpick in the center of the bread and it comes out clean.
  • Cool completely and enjoy the fresh-Homemade-Diet and healthy “Honey Wheat Banana Bread”

NOTE/TIP:

  • Always use the ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • You can even add grounded ginger/ mixed spices powder to enhance the bread flavor more
  • Even diabetics can have this bread without any guilt.
