Chocolate Banana Bread

Dry Ingredients:

  • AP flour (All-purpose) – 1 cup
  • Cocoa Powder – ½ cup
  • Brown sugar – ¼ cup
  • Aluminum free Baking powder – 2 tsp
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Chopped Mixed nuts (walnuts/ almonds/pecans) – ½ cup

Wet Ingredients:

  • Mashed banana – 1 ½ – 2 cups (from 3 ripped bananas)
  • Melted butter – ¼ cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Canola oil/ coconut oil – ¼ cup
  • Melted chocolate – ½ cup
    • Dark chocolate – ¾ cup
    • Whole milk/ heavy cream – ¼ cup

Greasing:

  • Room temperature butter – 1 tsp
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tsp

Procedure:

  • Pre heat the oven to 350Degree F
  • Grease the pan with butter and dust it with some cocoa powder(9*5 inch loaf pan) and keep aside
  • Melting chocolate :
    • In a microwave safe bowl add the chopped dark chocolate and heavy cream and microwave it for about 90 seconds and leave it for 2-3 mins and mix completely and keep aside.
  • In a wide mixing bowl, sieve all the dry ingredients finely except the mixed nuts
  • In a separate bowl add the wet ingredients, now slowly add the sieved dry ingredients into the wet and mix completely without any lumps.
  • Now add the chopped mixed nuts into the batter and mix gently.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and tap it for about 2-3 times, to remove the air bubbles.
  • Bake it for about 50-60 mins or until, insert a toothpick in the center of the bread and it comes out clean.
  • Enojy the Hot-fresh-Homemade- Guilty Pleasure “Chocolate Banana Bread” with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

NOTE/TIP:

  • Always use the ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • Adding the melting chocolate will really intensify the chocolate flavor.
