Ingredients:
- Shredded Coconut – 1 cup
- Granulated sugar – ¾ cup
- Water – ¼ cup
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Chopped cashews – 1 tblsp
- Cardamom powder – a generous pinch
Procedure:
- In a heavy bottomed pan add the sugar and water. Bring it to boil when it turn to about one string consistency, time to add the shredded coconut.
- Stir continuously, at one stage it will form a mass ball. Turn off the flame and add a generous pinch of cardamom powder and finely chopped cashews to the mixture.
- When the mixture is little warm, apply ghee on your palms and make balls out of it.
NOTE:
- Adding nuts towards the end is optional.
- Adding sugar depends on your taste.
- You can store this ball into an air tight container at least for a week over the counter.
