Valentine Cake

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredient

  • All-purpose flour  – 1 ½ cups
  • Granulated sugar – ¾ cup
  • Baking powder      – ½ tblsp
  • Salt                               – ¼ tsp

Wet Ingredient:

  • Egg                            –2 nos
  • Softened butter – 2 tblsp
  • Canola oil              – ¼ cup
  • Butter milk           – ¼ cup
  • Vanilla essence  – ½ tblsp

Vanilla whipped cream Frosting

  • Heavy whipping cream                       – ½ pint
  • Confectionery / powdered sugar – ½ cup
  • Vanilla essence                                       – 1 tsp

Strawberry Glaze

  • Fresh Strawberry Puree – 1 cup
  • Granulated sugar               – ½ cup
  • softened butter                   – 1 tblsp

For Greasing

  • Softened butter   – 1 tblsp
  • All-purpose flour – 1 tblsp

Special Tool: Baking Injector

                                            

Procedure:

  • Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 350 degree F and grease the baking pan and keep aside.
  • Step 2: Take a mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredient except sugar and mix well.
  • Step 3:In a wide mixing bowl add sugar, butter and oil. Beat well until it become light and fluffy. Add egg one at a time, now add butter milk and vanilla essence to the wet ingredient mixture. Beat until everything incorporated well. Later, add the dry ingredient mixture slowly and whisk together.
  • Step 4: Pour the batter over the greased pans and bake it for 30-35 mins or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • Step 5: Vanilla whipped cream – In a Wide mixing bowl pour the heavy whipping cream along with confectionery/ powdered sugar and vanilla essence. Beat on high speed until stiff peak form.
  • Step 6: Strawberry galze – In a sauce pan, add the strained strawberry puree along with half a cup of granulated sugar and a tblsp of butter. Bring it to boil, until it reaches close to one string consistency.
  • Step 7: Now place the cake over the cake stand. Take a syringe (pastry injector) full of strawberry glaze and inject into the cake here and there. Same way inject the vanilla whipped cream too into the cake.
  • Step 8: Spread the whipped cream from center to edges and take off the excess cream.
  • Step 9: Now pour the strawberry glaze over the whipped cream frosting from the center and allow it to spread towards the edges.
  • Step 10: Refrigerate before serving and enjoy with your family and friends.
