Though idli is the healthiest food in the world, kids always like Dosai. instead of regular dosai , here is the recipe for healthy and attractive tri-color-dosai/ uttappam for your kiddies
Ingredient:
- Idli batter – 3 cups
- Beetroot puree (blanched) – 3tblsp
- Spinach puree (blanched) – 3tblsp
- Carrot puree (blanched) – 3tblsp
- Ghee – for greasing
Procedure:
Step 1:
Take 3 cups of IDLI BATTER in 3 separate sups
Step 2:
In a sauce pan blanch beetroot, carrot, and spinach individually and puree it
Step 3:
Add the veggie puree into the idli batter respectively and whisk together with little water. The batter should be little thin not runny.




Step 4:
Pour a ladle full of dosai batter over the pre-heated tawa and spread it clock wise to form a circular shape and add a tsp of ghee/ gingelly oil over and sides of the dosai. Close it with a lid for 2-3 mins and you will get a fine dosai.
