Spicy Garden Fresh Beans:
Ingredients:
- Chopped Beans – 1 cup (heaped)
- Sundal podi – 1 tblsp
- Plain red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Water – 2 tblsp
- Grated coconut – ¼ cup
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Cooking oil – 2 tblsp
Procedure:
- Clean and cut the beans finely (I have used garden fresh handpicked Beans)
- In a pan, heat some oil and add the chopped beans along with some salt and saute for a min or so.
- Cover it with a lid and cook it further in a medium-low flame for about 5 mins.
- Meanwhile, grind the grated coconut and cumin seeds coarsely, without adding water and keep aside.
- Sprinkle about a tblsp of water and toss it gently
- Add turmeric powder, plain red chili powder and a tblsp of sundal podi over the beans and saute for a while.
- Sprinkle about a tblsp of water to avoid scorching and add the grounded coconut-cumin powder to the beans mixture.
- Toss it gently for about a min or until it blend together.
- Crunchy-grainy, Spicy Beans are ready to serve.
