Garlic Dinner Rolls
Dry Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups
- Instant active yeast – 1 tsp
- Granulated sugar – 2 tsp
- Mixed herbs – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
Wet Ingredients
- Softened butter – 3 tblsp
- Warm Milk – ½ cup (110- 120 ˚F)
- Olive oil – 2 tsp
- Fresh minced garlic – 2 tblsp
- Fresh minced herbs – 1 tblsp
For Greasing
- Softened butter – 1 tsp
- All-purpose flour – 1 tsp
Procedure
- Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 350˚ F and grease the 8 inch square pan. Keep the greased pan aside.
- Step 2: In a wide mixing bowl, add flour and room ‘temperature softened’ butter. Mix them well together; now add all other ingredients both wet and dry, mix well until the dough doesn’t stick on the bottom of the bowl. Note: the milk should not be too hot, also make sure about the expiry date of the yeast too; these two will help you to activate the yeast on time..
- Step 3: Cover the dough for about 90 mins, allow it to rest and rise.
- Step 4: After 90 mins, knead the dough and cut into equal parts (approx. 10-12 pieces).
- Step 5: Flatten the dough and roll out each piece evenly and arrange it over the greased pan and cover it for about 30 mins.
- Step 6: Egg wash each rolls before baking. Bake it for 25 mins. Enjoy the hot garlic dinner rolls with some homemade Soup.
